Known for his unmatched approach towards the bass music spectrum, Deadcrow, born Felix Ruocco, serves as an arbiter within the realm of all things forward thinking in the dance music landscape. Fresh off a massive collaborative release with RL Grime titled “Dominator”, Deadcrow continues to push the limits of trap, dubstep, and everything in between. With origins in the wave scene, Deadcrow garnered a dedicated following for his surgical attention to detail, demonstrating a masterful understanding in the art of building a canon through sound, the results of which transport the listener to a future fueled by street racing, gloss, and pursuit. Recognized for his merging of sound and aesthetic which draws inspiration from games like Need For Speed, aspects of The Fast and The Furious, Blade Runner, music beyond EDM like Nu Metal, Breaks, Rap, Hardstyle, and more, Deadcrow has taken the stage at a portfolio of world class venues and festivals, such as: Mission Ballroom, The Brooklyn Mirage, Rampage, Lost Lands, Bass Canyon, and more. With his own originals receiving support from industry titans such as Illenium, Alison Wonderland, DJ Diesel, Of The Trees, Eptic, Ravenscoon, Tisoki, Flosstradamus, Hex Cougar, and more, it is no surprise that Deadcrow has cultivated a committed following around the world. From Los Angeles to Amsterdam and beyond, Deadcrow continues to push the boundaries of his studied curatorial pursuits. When he is not serving as support for such mainstays like RL Grime, MERSIV, Deathpact, Rossy, JAWNS, and more, he is dialed in at the studio resulting in notable releases such as “ADRENALIN” with international wave-music icon Skeler, “Fallout” and “Drone”. Beyond the realm of sound, Deadcrow engages in his own masterclass of graphic design and visual direction, capturing an atmosphere that exists simultaneously in the nostalgic and the future, driven by a pursuit that brings to mind that of a late night street race flanked by pillars of steel and glass. Not one to rest on his laurels, Deadcrow recently delivered an all original set to a sold out Mission Ballroom, debuting an arsenal of unreleased weapons destined to make one’s retinas vibrate in awe. Ruocco draws immense inspiration from his home, citing his late father, John James Ruocco, and his mother, Genevieve Ruocco, both masters in their fields of music, photography, and fashion, as key sources to his current creative endeavors.
